is there any way to eek out the activation code from the software on my desktop? If so, I might be able to download Quicken online, but I'm thinking that might only apply to subscription versions.Ģ. The reason I have the H&B version is I used to be self employed, but no longer am.ġ.

I use Quicken to track my checking and savings accounts. I also don't use advanced features like downloading transactions or accessing financial accounts. I have no interest in buying new Quicken software that requires a subscription. I can still use the program on my desktop. The problem is that lost the activation code for the Quicken program during a move, and I don't seem to have a Quicken account setup for what I have. Said PC is on its last legs, and I'd like to install the Quicken program on my laptop, bringing over the data file. I have Quicken Home & Business 2014 installed on my desktop PC. and $31.19 at Office Depot.OK, I need help with Quicken. Right now Quicken Deluxe is $41.99 at Staples. There are so many fake sellers with already used activation codes and you'll have little or no recourse to recoup your purchase cost. I would strongly avoid that avenue to renew or purchase. That will not allow you to renew.Īnd I saw where eBay was mentioned. Just beware that you do not purchase a NEW USER version of the software. Just enter the new activation code in the HELP area. No need to uninstall or re-install the software. Try the usual sites.Staples, Office Depot Max, Best Buy, Costco, Sam's Club and purchase there using their activation code. And renewing "as a new user" doesn't work because you have to wait at least 30 days for your subscription to be expired before you are considered "a new user".

Seriously though, renewing through the Quicken website will guarantee you pay full price for the software. Man.do a search for "Quicken lowest prices" and magically it actually tells you where to get the lowest price for Quicken.
